thank you for your change proposal.
We just don't quite understand what you want with your changes, because a user-light can upload and create files and folders as soon as he has been invited to a space with "can edit" rights.
He can only not upload or create anything without this invitation, because he has no personal space.

What's strange is that, as a light user, I can upload and create files in my personal space (I'm not talking about shared spaces); is that normal?

Did the user previously have a different role than "User light" and was he logged in with the other role in his account?
