Summary

All active sample app workflows are now fixed and the sample test pipeline is green.

This PR updates the failing samples with targeted CI fixes, keeps the active sample matrix dynamic, and documents the samples that should no longer run in the default workflow.

Fixed sample apps

  • elb-load-balancing
  • rds-db-queries
  • cdk-resources
  • chalice-rest-api
  • emr-serverless-python-dependencies
  • emr-serverless-sample
  • glue-etl-jobs
  • glue-msk-schema-registry
  • java-notification-app
  • lambda-debugging-sam-javascript
  • lambda-debugging-sam-java
  • lambda-debugging-sam-python
  • lambda-debugging-sam-typescript
  • lambda-event-filtering
  • lambda-hot-reloading
  • lambda-xray
  • terraform-resources
  • route53-dns-failover

Archived or removed from default CI

  • cdk-for-terraform was moved because CDK for Terraform is no longer maintained.
  • qldb-ledger-queries and mediastore-uploads were moved because AWS has shut down QLDB & MediaStore
  • sagemaker-inference remains in the repository, but its default CI run has been removed because the dependency and model setup are too heavy for the regular sample workflow.
