Release notes

Contrast Metadata and Overlay Stabilization

Added

  • Added explicit contrast-pair metadata to the buttons text tokens for primary, secondary, and ghost variants in tokens/components.json to enable automated reverse contrast validation against their respective backgrounds.
  • Added explicit contrast-pair metadata to the pricingCard featured text and badge tokens in tokens/components.json and tokens/modes.json to enable consistent automated contrast validation against their respective backgrounds across the base contract and theme modes.

Changed

  • Standardized the surface.overlay token in tokens/semantic-roles.json to {colors.black} / 0.6, achieving consistency with the mode-specific definitions and ensuring stable overlay treatment across themes.
  • Standardized the surface.overlay token in the default mode within tokens/modes.json to {colors.black} / 0.6, achieving parity with the dark mode definition and ensuring consistent overlay treatment across themes.
  • Standardized non-protected semantic text roles (default, muted, subtle, meta) in tokens/semantic-roles.json to the object-based structure to enable automated contrast validation for the base semantic contract and achieve structural parity with surface roles.
